A railroad town at the edge of Glacier.

Whitefish grew up around a Great Northern depot in a clearing in the pines, and it never lost the feeling of a place you have to mean to get to. A ski mountain rises straight out of the town. A lake sits at the top of the main street. Glacier National Park begins an hour east and does not really end.

We keep a small collection of homes here, on purpose, and every one is prepared by the same team. It means we know which guest is in which house tonight and what they asked for. You should arrive to a fire already laid, a kitchen someone has genuinely thought about, and nothing at all left to sort out.
